Linda Truong, DO

Linda Truong is currently a Clinical Assistant Professor in the Department of Pediatrics, Division of Neonatology at Stanford University and works at a Level 3 20-bed community NICU at El Camino Hospital NICU in Mountain View, CA.  The El Camino Hospital NICU offers a unique integration of a private clinical environment and academic medicine overseeing trainees.  The El Camino neonatologists pride themselves in their strong QI projects that focus on improving family experiences (through the Family Centered Care committee) and outcomes in their very small patients as it relates to growth, delivery room resuscitation, and BPD.  Dr. Truong has clinical interests in premedication, hemodynamics, NIRS, and neonatal resuscitation.  Since joining El Camino Hospital, she has helped to standardize use of premedication for non-emergent neonatal intubations and worked to improve retention of neonatal resuscitation through educational videos and simulation as co-chair of the Resuscitation Committee.  Her quality improvement efforts also include reducing time to isolette closure to reduce suboptimal temperature of NICU admissions and integration of bubble CPAP and NAVA to improve BPD incidence.  These she embarks as co-chair of the Small Baby Task Force, and while young in their development (established 2019), have already seen improved outcomes to date.
